Cupping, Gua Sha and Moxibustion

Revitalise and Heal with Cupping Therapy

These traditional manual therapies are found all over Asia and even many Eastern European countries. In cupping, heated cups are used to help increase blood flow to areas of soreness or stiffness and provide wonderful relief to body aches and pain. It is also a useful in the treatment of cold/flu and coughs. In gua sha we use a rubbing tool such as a jade massager or even a ceramic soup spoon to help stimulate blood flow to the area. Moxibustion is a deeply tonifying treatment where we use a herb (mugwort) to deeply warm and tonify points.
Unlock the benefits of improved circulation and pain relief with our expert cupping treatments

Cupping therapy is a form of traditional medicine practiced across Asia and Eastern Europe, utilising small cups placed on the skin to create suction. These cups are typically made of glass, bamboo, or silicone and can be applied warm or cold, depending on the treatment goal. The suction effect pulls the skin slightly up and away from the underlying muscles, which is believed to promote blood circulation.

The Benefits Unveiled
Cupping therapy offers remarkable benefits, from enhancing circulation and reducing pain to boosting immune function and promoting deep relaxation.
Enhanced Circulation
Cupping encourages blood to flow more freely to various areas of the body, which can speed up healing and reduce muscle stiffness and pain.
Pain Relief
It is particularly noted for its effectiveness in reducing pain and deep muscle tightness, including that caused by conditions like back and neck pain, rheumatism, and migraines.
Immune Support
By promoting blood flow and lymphatic circulation, cupping therapy can strengthen the immune system and help in expelling toxins from the body.
Respiratory Relief
Cupping is often used as a complementary treatment for respiratory issues such as cold, flu, and coughs, helping to clear phlegm and congestion.
Relaxation
The process of cupping can be deeply relaxing, triggering the parasympathetic nervous system to induce a state of deep rest and rejuvenation, similar to the effects experienced during massage therapies.
Skin Health Improvement
Cupping is known to promote skin health by increasing blood flow and stimulating the production of natural collagen, which can improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of cellulite.
